2018 Fall Adult Programs

GLRMastersQuadLowell
Greater Lawrence Rowing offers numerous programs for adults throughout the Fall.  See our offerings below:

Masters Rowing
This program is open to all experienced adult rowers who are looking to improve, train and compete in sweep rowing.  Row with other area adults 3 evenings a week to build fitness levels, improve technical rowing skills and train for area sprint races with a focus on sweep rowing.  Prior on the water experience is necessary for this group.

A swim test is required for those that don’t already have one on file.  The swim test form can be found here.

The Masters Competitive Sweep rowing program is currently in season. If you are interested in joining the competitive program, please contact Rowing Director Annie Devorak  for more information.

Adult Recreational Rowing

This program is open to anyone out of high school with rowing experience who wants to continue rowing but not give the commitment of competitive rowing. Work on basic technical skills and stay in shape on the water. Not a requirement for competitive rowing, but a good start to learn or continue the sport without the fitness or time commitment. This program will focus on sweep rowing, with participants working on the technical aspects of rowing as well as working on applying power to the rowing stroke.  This program is for those with rowing experience but who do not wish to compete.

A swim test is required for those that don’t already have one on file.  The swim test form can be found here.

You will be placed into a technique session based on experience level. Both small groups will join together on Friday for the fitness workout and skill application. Athletes will focus on technique and fitness to improve their sculling performance or to prepare them for racing.
