2020 Spring Youth Programs

Greater Lawrence Rowing offers youth programs for Middle School and High School aged students throughout the Spring.  See our offerings below:

Junior Competitive Team
This program is for students in grades 8-12 who want to train and compete in the exciting sport of rowing.

You will be a valued member of a highly successful club team with other students from all around the greater Merrimack Valley area and will compete right along side some of the fastest crews in the country.

Rowers in their first competitive year of racing are considered Novice and will race only those who also share their ‘Novice’ status; Athletes with more than one year of experience graduate to Varsity.  Practice is 5 days a week with races on weekends, and there is no experience necessary. No matter if you’re really big, really little or anywhere in between – we have the perfect seat for you in one of our boats!

If you would like more information or would just like to come and see what it’s all about, please feel free to contact GLR’s Head Coach, Mitch McManus.

There will be a mandatory pre-season orientation for all new athletes and a parent/guardian plus all returning athletes on February 27, 2020 at 1 Eaton Street, Lawrence MA.

A swim test is required for those that don’t already have one on file.  The swim test form can be found here.
