This weekend was the 2016 USRowing Northeast Youth Championships in Worcester and GLR had 12 boats compete against the best competition on the region. After a good showing on Saturday, the team advanced 4 teams to Sunday’s day of semifinals and finals, with 2 boat making it to the finals in their respective events. The Women’s Youth 2- started the afternoon of finals off with a 4th place finish, only missing a medal by .8 seconds. The Men’s Youth 2nd 4+ then came down the course in a very close race, pulling ahead in the last 200 meters to win the event for the 2nd year in a row by 1.5 seconds.
