Lizzy began rowing at GLR in 2015 when she was introduced to the Middle School Rowing Program after completing sailing lessons at the GLCBP. Shortly after, she found interest in the novice program and joined the competitive junior team her freshman year in 2016. As a sophomore, Lizzy joined the varsity team where she earned a seat in the Varsity 8+ and competed at the Lowell Textile Regatta, Head of the Fish, the Lowell Invite, and the US Rowing Youth Regional Championships. In the returning fall of 2018, Lizzy was elected Captain, the first Junior Captain. The same season, she competed in the 2018 Head of the Charles in the Women’s Varsity 8+. The following spring, she was a part of the varsity 8+ that placed 6th at the US Rowing Youth Championships.
In 2019, her senior year, she returned for her second year as a re-elected Captain. Lizzy graduated in June of 2020 and is currently a freshman at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In the Fall of 2020 and Spring of 2021, Lizzy worked as an Assistant Rowing Coach and Assistant Varsity Sailing Coach. During the Summer she spends time at the boathouse working as a sailing and water safety instructor and enjoys spending time on the water!
